it’s hard to be funny with all that god-fearing garbage limiting the degree to which you are willing to go for a laugh.

The problem is that they aren’t funny to begin with, not their morals. I’m not aware of either Rush or Ann really towing a hard morality line for themselves–they just defend people who do.

I’ve always believed leftists made better entertainers and that entertainers make better leftists. People who spend all their time in a fantasy world are far more adept at (or at least start with a built-in advantage in) drama and comedy. Alternatively, people who spend all their time in a fantasy world are more adept at leftist politics.

I appreciate all efforts though. And as we’ve seen with carrottop, sometimes really really really bad is actually funnier than funny.

A Limbaugh-Coulter ticket is just as disturbing on the right as a Sharpton-Whoopie Goldberg ticket would be on the left. Nothing those people say would be able to make me laugh because every time I watched it I would feel as if I had just been kicked in the gut.
