Do you have the actual quote where Reagan pledged troops? I know about his support for the government (I don't agree with "constructive engagement" but I understand where it is coming from) but that is a degree further than anything I recall.

Even at that, are you saying you would have rather seen full-scale violence rather than almost-peaceful transfer of power that happened? Would you have really wanted the most violent of the anti-Apartheid groups in control of South Africa's nuclear weapons?

I once heard Ronald Reagan, as a presidential candidate, say that if South African Blacks revolted for freedom from apartheid, then Reagan would send US troops to South Africa to maintain apartheid, under which 20,000,000 Black people could not vote at all while 5,000,000 white people controlled the Government and every other aspect of society.

A presidential candidate who promises to maintain apartheid, even by force of US troops, is a man appealing for the votes of people who are color-aroused antagonists to Blacks. These are people, clearly, who firmly believe in the systematic denigration, subjugation, and exploitation of Black people, by any means necessary. So, yes, I believe that the Republican Party explicitly appeals to those who want to vote for Black oppression and subjugation.

I also remember Nancy Reagan saying to a rally in New Hampshire, "Look at all these pretty white faces!" Clearly, Black voters were not her priority that day.

There it is, Hussein's campaign playing the race card. With this they've pretty much said "if you're not for Obama, you're a racist." How about, in my case anyway, "I'm not for Obama because he's a lowlife"?
