Change on No-Bid Contracts

From Obama’s Blueprint for Change (PDF), in the Ethics section:

End Abuse of No-Bid Contracts: Barack Obama will end abuse of no-bid contracts by requiring that nearly
all contract orders over $25,000 be competitively awarded.

From today — Obama Administration Steers Lucrative No-Bid Contract for Afghan Work to Dem Donor:

Despite President Obama’s long history of criticizing the Bush administration for “sweetheart deals” with favored contractors, the Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids, Fox News has learned.

Change you can believe in, if you lower your expectations by a factor of 1000.

Waterloo

President Obama:

“I would advise that we try to move quickly to coalesce around those elements of the package that people agree on,” he said.

The president said there are “core elements” to the health care legislation that both Republican and Democrats agree on and they must come together to work for comprehensive reform.

Barack Obama doesn’t care about black people

Another One Down

…another one down, another one under the bus.

But GOP opposition to Southers escalated rapidly after The Washington Post reported that Southers had given Congress and the White House misleading information about incidents two decades ago in which he inappropriately accessed a federal database to obtain information about his estranged wife’s new boyfriend, possibly in violation of privacy laws.

Heeeeey, relax guy, what does privacy matter to the TSA chief?

Brown

Coakley said she received a phone call from President Barack Obama: “He actually just called me before I came onstage to say that we can’t win them all..”

All?  If you can’t win this one, can you win any?

Voter Fraud

Rush Limbaugh is urging for voter fraud in Massachusetts.
