“Teabaggers” vs “Obamacare”

Bill Maher bleated:

I don’t have any respect, no, I don’t have any respect for the tea-(baggers) [word silenced] and I do call them the tea-(baggers) [word silenced again] — even though they hate it. I will stop calling them Tea-(baggers) [word silenced for a third time] when they stop calling it Obamacare, that’s my deal.

Here’s the deal.  Tea Partiers don’t want to be called teabaggers because it’s a description of a lewd act.

What is Obamacare a description of that is so distasteful?  Isn’t this exactly what Obama wanted?  Doesn’t he think it is a good program?  Doesn’t Maher think it is a good program?  Conservatives don’t complain about the Bush Tax Cuts being called the Bush Tax Cuts.  Conservatives are proud of the Bush Tax Cuts.

Why aren’t liberals proud to call Obamacare Obamacare?

Hillary never complained about Hillarycare having that name.  She was proud of her program, whether it got passed or not.  Why isn’t Obama proud of the law he ramrodded through Congress?

It’s about inference. I’m proud to be black but the way some people say it well…

So what’s the inference? That some people don’t like Obamacare? What’s the big deal? Lots of people don’t like the Bush Tax Cuts, but that doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with calling them the Bush Tax Cuts.

That’s what you keep saying but when I first saw the picture on your blog I could have sworn I heard an immense Chinese gong.
