School Reduces Lunch Stigmas

Newsday.com – London School Reduces Lunch Stigmas

A new high school said Wednesday its students will be charged for their lunches with a retina scanning device to prevent poor children who eat for free from being ridiculed in the cafeteria.

You know that I’m not a socialist, and I detest state welfare. You know that I campaign against public schools. But even from an academic standpoint, don’t you think that money would be better spent trying to make the kids less poor than to spend it on retinal scans?

This isn’t about protecting poor people. This is about indoctrinating children to think that there is nothing wrong about the government requiring biometric identification for trivial matters. This is desensitization and indoctrination, pure and simple. I didn’t think I would see it start this obviously.
