Looking for a Revolver Part

My grandfather is looking for a .22 Magnum cylinder for his Ruger Single Six New Model, blued. Any leads would be appreciated.

  1. Charles Fuller says:

Send it in to Ruger and get a new cylinder fitted.
That’s a part that needs to be custom fitted. It won’t be cheap, but it will be done right.

  2. Phelps says:

That’s what I’m looking for a ballpark on, since a new one is only about $300. If I’m going to spend $300 on a part and getting it timed in (since the Single Six New Model is supposed to be able to interchange between LR and Magnum) I might as well just buy a new one, and let him have a brace of Single Sixes, with one having the option of loading Magnum.

Of course, then I’ll have to buy him new gunleather, too, which will cost me as much as the new gun to get done right. It would have to be a sight to see a 75 year old man with a couple of revolvers slung low on his hips, though.
