Thought for the Day

I saw this poster in the law office that I am visiting in the breakroom:

In fiscal year 2004, 51 children died in Oklahoma from abuse or neglect. We can do better.

And the only thing I could think was, “wow, I couldn’t kill 51 kids with a case of hand grenades and an ice cream truck!”

  1. So they want to kill more than 51 or less than 51. What exactly do they mean by better?

  2. Mexigogue says:

That Ricky kid who was murdered by his foster parents was in that house precisely because he was taken away from his biological family because the State feared he was being abused. Nice going government.

  3. Jim Darkness says:

hehe… nice to see you back int eh blogosphere, Phelps.

  4. Citizen Quasar says:

It’s all the Bible-thumpin’ retards we’ve got up here. “On probation with no education…praise Jesus.”

  5. Eric W says:

I loves stats like this. Is that more or less than last year? By what percentage? How does this compare to the national average? In a state as large as Texas, 51 actually seems rather low to me, but then I am angry, bitter asshole.

  6. Phelps says:

Actually, this was in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
