The Bailout Bunch

Bloomberg.com:

Take a good look at some of the 17 people our nation’s president-elect chose last week for his Transition Economic Advisory Board. And then try saying with a straight face that these are the leaders who should be advising him on how to navigate through the worst financial crisis in modern history.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

A lot of poorly informed voters (probably, oh, 40% of the electorate) voted for Obama as a repudiation of Bush, and never seemed to wrap their heads around the fact that he is simply Bush 2.0.

Definitely. The platform of “Change” and “Hope” was lolleriffic from the beginning. At least to me.

Didn’t you read the bumper stickers of the horribly inept and woefully ill-informed? McCain was Bush’s third term, not The Golden Child.

The Golden Child would, with a wave of his magic hand, get Iran to stop building nukes, patch the ozone layer, curb the rampant global warming, quiet hurricanes, unguard Israel’s borders, befriend China and make us all rich…except for the rich whom he’d only make less rich in order to make poor people rich. Hooray for Obama! Change we can believe in! Especially if that change involves a negative sign in front of your 401K!!! OBAMA!!!
